Membership in the APD is open to two individuals from each accredited dermatology training program in the United States and Canada. The Primary Member is generally the head of the dermatology department or division. The Secondary Member shall be chosen by the Head and is usually the training program director or other senior member of the department or division.  Primary membership dues are $300, and Secondary membership dues are $250.

APD members receive notices and reduced fees to the annual meetings, a member newsletter, a membership directory, access to the Members Only areas of the website and access to the Dermatology Professors listserve.  Members (one per department) may also vote at meetings, and are eligible to hold office and serve on committees.
