Dermatology Residency Program Director, Clinical faculty

UT Health San Antonio:
The Department of Medicine-Division of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at UT Health San Antonio, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is in search of a Clinical Assistant Professor /Professor in the role of Dermatology Residency Program Director.  This is a full-time or part-time clinical faculty position. Applicants must have or obtain a Texas Medical License, have an M.D. or D.O., and be board certified in Dermatology.  The applicant should have at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, or qualifications acceptable to the Review Committee and must include a minimum of one year of documented experience serving as a core faculty for an ACGME-accredited dermatology program. 
  Associate Program Director experience, though not required, would also be favorable. The applicant should be motivated and have the ability to perform in all areas of medical and surgical dermatology. The applicant should be able to fulfill the dermatology support needed for the division as well as provide the instruction for our residents in our GME Dermatology residency program.  The PD is granted 20% FTE dedicated time and has the full support of an outstanding experienced Residency Coordinator, Chief of Dermatology and  leadership above that.  The program is thriving with 9 active residents and a University that continues to provide full support of our teaching mission. The current PD is simply finishing his planned term and ready to open this opportunity to a promising upcoming leader.  In continuity, the current PD plans to remain in a continued supportive role as faculty/APD with the program.  The position is available for consideration starting 1 Jan, 2021.
