Physician – Dermatopathology/General Dermatology – Faculty Position
SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health is seeking a board-certified / board-eligible Dermatologist/Dermatopathologist for a full or part time faculty position in the Department of Dermatology. Rank and tenure will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will support an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor as well as a graduating Fellow and will provide an immediate strong clinical practice, with opportunities for both clinical and translational research, within the Department and across the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. The Division of Dermatopathology in the Department of Dermatology has a history that dates to the formal beginnings of the Department in 1992 and provides dermatopathology services to the Saint Louis area as well as several surrounding states. There is an ACGME accredited Dermatopathology Fellowship since 2008. Our Dermatopathology program offers the opportunity to gain experience professionally and contribute to the education and training of future Dermatologists and Dermatopathologists. Our practice includes two thriving sites and access to Saint Louis University Hospital. The Division of Dermatopathology is composed of four faculty and is supported by a brand new, state-of-the-art, full time dermatopathology laboratory, cosmetic dermatologists, Mohs surgeon(s) and several medical dermatologists. We have a young, dynamic, and growing Department, with effective and supportive Faculty mentorship and a strong institutional and community-based referral network. Saint Louis is a large metropolitan area with a broad selection of culture, arts, and education including a symphony, opera, theatre, ballet company, art museum, and zoo. Home of the 2011 World Series Champions St. Louis Cardinals and 2019 Stanley Cup Champions St. Louis Blues, there are many opportunities for the sports enthusiast as well. The region has affordable housing, excellent public, and private schools, and is home to several major universities. Quality of life professionally and personally is rich and most enjoyable. Several major cities including Chicago are within driving distance and easily accessible by air.
