Dermatopharmacology Fellow
The Department of Dermatology is seeking applicants for the Dermatopharmacology Fellowship beginning by July 1st, 2025. The Dermatopharmacology Fellowship is a two-year, non-ACGME accredited program that introduces fellows to the fundamental principles of conducting clinical trials in dermatology, including understanding how to design, implement, and analyze trials under the principles of Good Clinical Practice and accepted ethical standards. Fellows will have the opportunity to design and conduct studies of their own as well as participate in ongoing and new projects based in the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Fellowship projects encompass many areas in dermatology, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, pseudoxanthoma elasticum, acne, wrinkles, and skin cancer. Fellows are expected to attend investigator meetings, present original research results at regional and national meetings, and publish their findings, when appropriate. The Department of Dermatology first introduced the Dermatopharmacology Fellowship program in 1994. Since then, dozens of physicians have successfully completed the program. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
