Director, ACGME-accredited Residency Training Program
The Department of Dermatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) invites applicants for the position of Director of our ACGME-accredited Residency Training Program. Rank will be commensurate with relevant experience and academic accomplishments. Successful candidates will be joining a program with a global reputation for excellence in research, patient care, and teaching. The director will be responsible for sustaining and enhancing an educational environment appropriate to training housestaff in each of the ACGME competency areas; complying with the CUIMC and New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s policies and procedures, including those relevant for selection, evaluation, promotion of residents, disciplinary action, as well as resident supervision. The program director must be facile with the ACGME and Review Committee requirements as outlined in the ACGME Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in dermatology. Candidates must be certified by the American Board of Dermatology and have at least three years of educational and/or administrative experience following residency or fellowship. The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of excellence in clinical care and scholarship, and have publications in peer-reviewed journals. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, evaluation methodology, teaching, and mentoring medical students and residents is also required. Candidates must have a NYS medical license and DEA prior to appointment. It is expected that the candidate will participate in our faculty practice as well.
